Not the Sherlock Holmes character – Arthur Conan Doyle’s iconic detective has been played for the past 100 years and will be played for the next 100 – but will we ever see Benedict Cumberbatch pulling the deer stalker again and teaming up with John Freeman’s John Watson? It looks questionable.
