Friday ‘Nite: Fortnite Paradise Explained – Chapter 3, Season 4 Leaks and Plagues Are Everywhere

Friday ‘Nite is a weekly Fortnite column in which Mark Delaney takes a closer look at current events in the wide world of Fortnite, with a special emphasis on the game’s plot, characters and knowledge.

According to all the characters in the game, we only have a matter of days before Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 4 debuts. While it looks like this season will end without an in-game event (or even a summer concert), that doesn’t mean the update will be quietly hitting PC and console download queues next weekend. It seems that several official teasers for the new season of Fortnite have been leaked online. Here’s what we know so far about the new Fortnite Paradise leaks.

Fortnite Paradise

Each season of Fortnite is given a subtitle along with the numbered designation. Chapter 3, Season 4 appears to be called Paradise, according to a recent series of TikTok videos shared by fans. The person or persons who found the Fortnite Paradise teasers are known to share Fortnite leaks on the Telegram messaging app. This account, known as @FortniteNews, previously discovered Operation Sky Fire, the summer 2021 cinematic event that ended Chapter 2, Season 7, before it was revealed by Epic.

Now, the same account has shared a number of materials seemingly intended to be shared by Epic soon, including a cryptic tweet slated for later and at least one of a series of strange live-action teasers for the upcoming Fortnite season. Since the first leak, several fans have shared similar videos, and it’s currently unclear if anything has been shared yet, though at least one appears to have originated as an actual TikTok ad.

Additionally, a largely blank website has now also been made public by Epic, further indicating that the Fortnite Paradise teasers are real and may be arriving right on schedule. That could only leave the scheduled tweet as a real “leak”. Nevertheless, suddenly a lot is somehow revealed for Fortnite Season 4. Here’s a rundown of all the weird lifestyle blogger videos featuring the mysterious Fortnite “Chrome”, which seems to play a major role in the next season’s plot.

While these weird teasers look like Capri Sun ads or Terminator sequels for fans of certain ages, this liquid “Chrome” within Fortnite lore itself is of obscure origin. It is likely that the Reality Tree will play a part in everything that goes on here, as its roots have spread across the island and distorted reality throughout the season. Following that, Donald Mustard, Epic CCO and chief Fortnite Lore writer, recently tweeted some Queen lyrics.

Known for mostly (or maybe exclusively) tweeting things that are short- or long-term Fortnite teases, fans have read his tweet as a Fortnite cue. What has the Reality Tree really done to the island all this time? Is this the real life of the loopers? Or is it just fantasy, a veiled imaginary world they have shown.

As I put together a timeline of everything we learn about Fortnite Paradise today, I can’t help but explain the victory. l began to question the nature of the loopers’ reality as soon as the season started–All those years of reading simulation theory and watching Westworld make someone skeptical, I guess. What we may find out is that the “Bloomwatcher” can use Chrome or maybe… is Chrome, and the effects of such a power, doesn’t seem right for the story’s heroes, given the way it seems to consume and corrupt everything it touches. There’s still so much to learn, but right now is a good time (if it’s not too late already) for loopers to wonder if they can escape this new reality.
