It’s happening, folks! Fortnite Season 4 kicks off today (Sunday, September 18) and a big new trailer for the upcoming season has already arrived to get you excited.
While Brie Larson hasn’t posted to her social media accounts to confirm it, the Fortnite season 4 trailer seems far from confirming that the superhero character Paradigm will be played by the Captain Marvel star.
The Fortnite Season 4 trailer also confirms the long-trumped-up detail that a liquid metallic substance called Chrome is entering the island and consuming everything in the new season.
Additionally, the title card confirmed at the end of the trailer that Marvel’s Spider-Gwen is coming to Fortnite for Season 4 (presumably as part of the battle pass). Read on to learn more about the new season!

Fortnite season 4 news
Time for a recap of the story so far, in terms of Fortnite season 4 marketing!
To confirm that Paradise will be the title of Fortnite Season 4, Epic Games posted the following image on its official website.
This title card was the first bit of official news we saw regarding the next Fortnite season – at least through the usual official channels, that is.
Despite the concept of paradise being generally seen as something positive, we get a bit of a sinister vibe from that image above. The cloudy colors of the background and the slight fading of the font are enough to make us think that in this so-called paradise, perhaps not all is as it seems.
Since the unveiling of that title card, Epic Games has gradually lifted the lid on Fortnite Season 4, revealing bits of news about the incoming update very slowly. We don’t know much, but what we do know sounds very different from last season’s relaxed Vibin’ theme.
For example, you have seen a video of this 3D billboard in New York. It’s been doing the rounds on social media for the past few days!
Also in a grammatical nightmare of Twitter thread, the Fortnite marketing team recently teased, “it consumes everything… liberate them… but beware… you could be next”.
Look at the capitalization in that sentence and you’ll see it spells CHROME, which seems to be a key difference between Fortnite season 4 and what preceded it.
We know Fortnite season 4 is subtitled paradise, but it sounds very much like this, this paradise will be filled with liquid metal that will spread across the map and consume everything in its path. This also reflects what happened to the billboard.
Fortnite Season 4 Leaks
The image below has been circulating online for a while now in the rumor mill. Thanks to that, fans have known for a while that Fortnite season 4 will have something to do with this eerie image of a hand emerging from that chrome-like substance.
Eagle-eyed fans believe this hand belongs to Paradigm, one of the in-game superhero-like characters known as The Seven. There have been rumours/forecasts that famed Fortnite fan Brie Larson could play Paradigm in the game, which now seems to be pretty much confirmed with the trailer we’ve included at the top of this page.
We can’t be the only ones getting a Terminator vibe from that concept art either, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie franchise gets some sort of nod here. You can bet that a steady stream of pop culture characters will remain in the game whether or not that prediction comes true.
Fortnite Season 4 Trailer
When Epic started confirming rumors of a chrome-like substance invading the island in Fortnite Season 4, the developers started sharing disturbing live-action trailers like this a week ago:
“It consumes everything,” the caption teases, and in the clip itself, a bowl of real grains is suddenly consumed by a chrome-like liquid metallic substance. Yes, this paradise is looking worse and worse!
Fortnite Season 4 Battle Pass Rumors
Bringing it back to superheroes for a moment, fans on Twitter seemed convinced beforehand that Marvel’s Spider-Gwen (a parallel universe version of Gwen Stacey who took on the Spider-Woman mantle himself) will swing into Fortnite as part of the Fortnite season 4 battle pass. This also seems to have been confirmed by the Fortnite season 4 trailer.
Of course, a little Spidey action will always make sense in Fortnite, especially considering that Epic Games already built web slinging into the game a few months ago.
Furthermore, another series of Twitter posts had fans believe that the Goth Meowscles outfit will be coming to the game as part of the Fortnite Season 4 Battle Pass.
In terms of celebrity Fortnite skins, let’s not forget that Fortnite has already revealed Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as the actor behind The Foundation, leader of The Seven, so it doesn’t feel like there is a limit to the level of talent that Epic Games has. can put on to portray Fortnite characters.
If we find out more about who/what will be appearing in Fortnite Season 4, we’ll be sure to let you know! Keep coming back and we’ll wrap up the latest happenings here.
