Big news just go ahead on the internet Dead in daylight fans. a new Dead in daylight comic book coming in March 2023! This is definitely a great way to end October, especially after the controversy.
Remember, we reported on a problematic update earlier this month. The Dead in daylight Mori update caused great division. It threatened to make the game extremely unfair to survivors. Remember, we are talking about a game that is already killer.
Fortunately, this news can help calm the water. The series has been expanded considerably with its dating simulator. No, that’s not a joke. Now this comic book joins interesting releases such as Marvel’s Dark Web.

The work is the result of a collaboration between Behavior and Titan Comics. The latter is also responsible for several video game comic books. They also worked on Bloodborne: Lady of the Lanterns and Life is strange: dust settle.
They have also worked on comic books in the Cowboy Bebop and Blade Runner universes. So we can rely on their experience in the art form. Also, the comic has a solid team behind it. Nadia Shammas (Harvey Award winner) wrote the comic. And, Dillon Snook (from blue) is responsible for the art.
Mathieu Côté, Head of Partnerships at Behavior Interactive, had a few words. According to him, comic books are special to many on the team. Dead in daylight and The Legion coming to the pages is “an amazing feeling”.
And yes, I mention The Legion because they are the focus of this work. According to Mathieu, they reflect “teenage fear, anger and revenge.” So they embody universal themes, perfect for comic books.
The Legion as the focus of the new Dead by Daylight comic book

Dead in daylight is filled with dozens of characters with unique backstories. Of course, licensed characters wouldn’t make sense in a comic book. But their original work lends itself perfectly to a Dead in daylight comic book.
And The Legion is a pretty interesting character. For starters, it’s not just one character. They are a group of teenage killers, consisting of Frank, Joey, Julie and Susie. They are a group of violent teenage killers.
The teens are your stereotypical slasher group. They wear hooded masks and robes and use a knife to terrorize survivors. However, players have no control over four assassins in the game. It’s only one left.
However, their lore lends itself perfectly to a comic book. They are just a group of anxious teenagers who are tired of the ‘normal and boring’ life. Their escapades constantly escalate and end in a full-blown murder.
Their gameplay counterpart reflects their personality. They are fast and agile. Their skills revolve around chasing survivors into chaos. The Legion moves and chains attacks quickly between various survivors. They get into a frenzy that builds as they harm others.
But what would the story be about? What can be said about them?
A prequel story for the Dead by Daylight characters
Well, Titan Comics’ tweet says everything we need to know. The comic series will be a prequel to The Legion that we see in the game. Each character has a backstory in Dead in daylight before they were captured by The Entity.
That’s what we’ll learn about The Legion. But, what does it mean?
The Legion started out as a normal gang of rebellious teenagers. Frank came to Ormond with his foster father. There he met Julie and her friends, Susie and Joey. They were soon charmed by Frank’s stance against the status quo.
He was constantly talking about things like the education system that pursues slavery. Julie, in particular, was stunned and enchanted by his views. They spent their time together constantly talking about serial killers.
Julie would make up a story about a criminal group in Ormond. In fact, she was talking about them. Their momentum soon declined into robberies, vandalism and arson.
During one of their escapades, Frank stabs a cleaner who caught Julie. He urges the others to finish the work. Soon they are all in the same murder. As they bury the body, The Entity captures them.
That’s all we know, with Tome 3 expanding the details of their story. So it will be interesting to see this story written on pages. We might also get to see a bit more of their start with The Entity.
As Titan Comics says, we should stay tuned for more information soon…
