Pokemon TCG Open Play

5 – 7:30 p.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library. Connect with other Pokémon TCG players during the library’s new twice-monthly open game. This open game will be an inviting space for trainers to learn, practice and compete to brag.

Halloween Movie Matinees

Animal Expo

9:00am – 12:00pm at Our Lord’s Lutheran Church at 150 Wilma Drive, Maryville. This event includes dog demonstrations, a pet and owner competition, a stuffed animal clinic, face painting, a pet blessing booth, rescue information, and door prizes. The event will take place outdoors, rain or shine. Free and open to the public. All pets must be on a leash.

chair yoga

10 a.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library. Registered yoga teacher Julie Hamilton will lead the class with modifications of common yoga poses. Perfect for seniors and others with disabilities or challenges such as chronic illness, pain or stiffness. Yoga mats are not included, but you can bring your own for extra chair stability.

Chicken Dinner

11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Edwardsville Moose Lodge at 7371 Marine Road, Rt. 143. Dinners are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under. Dine-in dinner includes all you can eat chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, green beans, salad, tea and coffee. Carry-out also available for ½ chicken and side dishes. 656-5056.

Knights of Columbus BBQ

11:30 AM – 5:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus at 7132 Marine Road in Edwardsville, Rt. 143. The menu consists of pulled pork, ribs, chicken, pork steaks and brats. Side dishes include baked beans, cole slaw, macaroni salad, and applesauce.

Concert in the park

3-5pm at Fire Park, Route 159, Maryville. George Portz and Friends of Bluegrass play a free concert sponsored by Maryville Parks & Rec. A Fiddler’s Frolic featuring young fiddlers playing with George Portz from 3pm-3:30pm Bluegrass, Cajun and country music will follow. Washington Kettle Corn will be available for refreshments. Swap houseplants

9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library. Come and drop off your houseplants or unused garden seeds between 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. to give them a second life. Those who deliver a plant will have priority over the exchange between 11 am and 1 pm. The exchange is open to the public after 1 p.m. Please do not use outdoor plants or unidentifiable seeds.

Coloring pages for adults

1 p.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library. Join us for a relaxing and fun afternoon coloring session. The library offers crayons and coloring books for adults, along with refreshments.

Bark in the Park Dog Contest

1:00 PM at Firemen’s Park, Maryville. Registration starts at 12:30 PM. A vaccination certificate is required for registration. Open to both purebred and mixed breed dogs, this free dog show is held in conjunction with the Maryville Kiwanis Fall Festival. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded.
