For some, their attitude and personality irritates people, while others are despised for what they represent. Kenji Harima was never known for his good deeds in school rumble. But when he saves the girl he likes from a gang of villains, he never expected to be more despised for his actions. Despite rescuing Tenma Tsukamoto, she instead mistakes him for an attacker, further tarnishing his reputation and ruining his chances of being with her.

Even with this setback, Harima does everything she can to show Tenma how much he cares for her, even if her affections are otherwise seized. While he may not have been the best student, Harima is a good guy who just doesn’t seem to take a break.

Katsuki Bakugo has always been good at almost everything he does in My Hero Academia. Because of this, he develops an overly arrogant attitude and has little patience for those who are not as talented as he is. Unfortunately, Bakugo’s bad attitude spills over into his hero work and cost him his first attempt at getting a hero license.

While many have tried to intervene on Bakugo’s behalf, All Might is the only one who seems to get through to him. His comment to both Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya about saving others to win begins to change Bakugo’s mindset for the better. There’s no argument that he’s a great hero, but Bakugo’s bad attitude makes him unbearable to be around.

3 Shoya Ishida was a bully in his youth (A Silent Voice)

Throughout his life, the only people who were kind to him were his martial arts master, Kyoko Honda, and eventually Tohru Honda. This makes Kyo feel incredibly lonely and unworthy of love. Fortunately, that changes when he meets Tohru, who helps him realize his self-esteem. Although it’s a long road, Kyo learns to accept love from others, as well as from herself.
